Czech: “This work details the author’s 1910-1911 expedition on which he bagged gazelle, leopard, and hippopotamus near the Atbara River. Continuing on to the Setit, he shot lion, buffalo, kudu, and other plains game, some from a machan near a watering hole. Cotton then trekked to the Rahad and Dinder Rivers where he collected lion, buffalo, hippopotamus, and a variety of plains game. The nine-month safari cost Cotton £750!”
