The covers elaborately blindstamped as usual with mid 19th century publisher's bindings and the spines lavishly gilt. The gilt still very fresh and bright.
Half-title to volume 2. Tinted lithographs as frontispieces; one a fine topographical plate of a mission post with a church, the other a splendid view of Freetown.
